The men, women and senior adults of Jackson First Baptist work together on a variety of projects and ministries, but they also have specific groups, that learn together, serve together, fellowship together and travel together. If you want to know how to best use your talents and skills in ministry, begin with one of our adult groups. Come alongside them and see what GOD can do through you and with you.
If men are to be strong and able to "stand fast in the faith" then men must be familiar with God's Word.
ALL men are invited to our
Vigilant Men Bible Study
Every Wednesday morning at 6:00 am
In the Multipurpose Room (on the East side of bldg.)
Breakfast is free and the fellowship is priceless.
You can find our Bible Study Passages here.
Our first goal is to lead men to Christ, but it does not end there. Our men's ministry is constructed to equip men to become Godly leaders at home, at church, and beyond. Only then can men successfully meet the demands of being a husband, a father, an employee and a Christian in today's world.
Along with faithful study, accountability and worship, the men of Jackson FBC are actively involved in ministry both locally, nationally and internationally. FBC could not accomplish all we strive to do without the hard and dedicated work of our men. They share a variety of gifts, including: teaching, construction, mentoring, cooking, planning, security, transportation and much more. If you are tired of sitting on the sideline and God is calling you to serve - we have a place for you!
Our ladies serve in a variety of roles, from mentors to teachers to missions and more. It is all about helping other women to come to Christ and grow in Christ. It is also about encouraging people to understand, respond to and apply the Gospel to every aspect of life.
They accomplish this through Bible Studies, Mom Monday and various social activities and mission projects throughout the year.
There is more to our senior moments than forgetfulness, eye glasses and gray hair! We may get tired, but we do not get tired of doing good and the retirees at Jackson First Baptist are reaping a harvest of blessing as we minister, mentor and fellowship together in our second half of life.
Just because we are in the midst of a senior moment, it does not mean we do not have a calling. In spite of our age, we are working diligently, at home and abroad, to glorify GOD. Come and press toward the mark with us!
The Hearty Bunch is a community wide gathering. We meet monthly, on the second Thursday, for a devotion, a program and lunch. You never know what might be on the program for the month! There have been demonstrations, informative presentations, singers, musicians and more. Lunch is provided by Chick-N-Run and costs $6.00.
If you would like to join us, drop us a note. RSVPs are not required but appreciated.
