The heart of children's ministry...

...at Jackson FBC is to teach K.I.D.S. about who God is and how His word applies to their lives in creative and memorable ways. Through engaging teaching, supportive environments, and close knit small group classes, we guide kids towards a better understanding of what it means to have a real relationship with God.

We want K.I.D.S. to know that the Bible is full of interesting stories that matter in their lives today, that fun and games are definitely allowed at church, that worship can be full of loud music and silly dancing, and that there are adults in the church who truly want to love and lead them closer to Jesus. In other words, we want them to know that where God is, life is a lot more fun!

Our children are not just a ministry...

       ...they minister!

Reaching and teaching K.I.D.S. about the love of Christ so they might know Him as their Savior is only part of what we do at Jackson FBC.  We also provide age appropriate opportunities  for all K.I.D.S to  actively participate in missions and minister to others.    Our mission projects include the:

  • Homeless
  • Food pantry
  • Military
  • Sick and shut ins
  • Operation Christmas Child
  • Prayer Project

Active participation in missions coupled with purposeful lessons and a big dose of fun  ensures that K.I.D.S learn more than Bible stories, they learn to live a life for Christ.

Mission Friends

Why Preschool Missions?  Preschool is an exciting time in children’s lives, where they rapidly grow to understand the world around them. It’s during this time that they develop a spiritual understanding about Who God is and how they play a part in His plan for the world.

That’s why we have Mission Friends — to provide the building blocks of faith to preschoolers and raise a basic awareness of God’s love for all people. A missions heart will become entwined in their hearts as they grow to know God and the missions message of the Bible. For boys and girls 3 years to Kindergarten.

Girls In Action

Why Girls in Action?  Girls in Action is designed to help girls in grades 1 through 5 come to faith in Christ as Savior, while making missions an important part of their daily lives. They learn what it means to live a missional lifestyle while they participate in Bible study, missions projects and engaging activities. They also have a lot of fun and build lasting memories as they “travel” to various places around the world when they learn about the work of missionaries.

The Girls in Action motto is “Go Forward!” and GAs do just that — they grow closer to God as they discover their part in His plan and they practice what they’re learning through hands-on missions opportunities. Their experiences lead to a lifelong commitment to Christ, His mission and His church.

Royal Ambassadors

Why Royal Ambassadors?  An ambassador can be defined as a messenger or representative — someone who tells or reveals truth. Royal Ambassadors seek to share the truth that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life.

RA is designed to help boys in grades 1 through 5 come to faith in Christ as Savior, while making missions an important part of their daily lives. They learn what it means to live a missional lifestyle while they participate in Bible study, missions projects and engaging activities. They also have a lot of fun and build a faith-based brotherhood as they “travel” to various places around the world when they learn about the work of missionaries. Their experiences lead to a lifelong commitment to Christ, His mission and His church.
